A romantic weekend getaway at the Manor House Spa & Hotel is a perfect destination for relaxation. If you are looking for a day trip to compliment the stay, we highly suggest the Chatsworth House and visiting the Bakewell village.

The picturesque drive through the peaks, takes an hour from the Manor House. Just watch out for the local sheep, they like to roam around the roads when opportunity arises. Chatsworth House offers seasonal events throughout the year. From November to December the house is dressed up for Christmas. If that alone doesn’t put you in a festive spirit, the Christmas markets and the light trail will do the job! Make sure you wrap up warm and take in all the festivities, it’s truly a magical place to be. On the estate there is also plenty of options to eat and drink - from Estate Farm Shop Café, Carridge House Café, Cavedish restaurant to The Parlour among other options. Before you head back to the Manor House, stop off in Bakewell village for a stroll down the high street. It offers a range of shops with baked goods, home décor, cosy café and of course the famous Bakewell tarts.
